Torre 1 oz Anise Oil. Pure essential aniseed oil, or oil of anise as is sometimes referred to, possesses a pleasant taste and smell very similar to that of black licorice. It is derived from the Pimpinella anisum plant which is in the same family as fennel. This volatile and aromatic anise oil is extensively used in Italian biscotti, pizzelles, cakes and many other baked goods as an amazingly tasty flavoring. It is translucent in color with slightly sweet undertones.
