4 lb piece ( $14.99 per lb ). Hormel Parma Brand Prosciutto is an Italian Style ham. It is a dry-cured, skinless, boneless ham with an intense flavor and just the right hint of smokiness. This is a fully cooked ham with the shank removed, ready to be served hot or cold. It has a maximum yield when sliced deli-style. The ham was prepared by being hand rubbed with spices and aged for the best flavor. Best if sliced thinly, and across the grain. Great alone or in a sandwich, it also makes great hors d'ouvres and canapes, as well as on a platter of cold cuts. Make your dishes distinctively Italian with Hormel Prosciutto.

The prosciutto has a well balanced cured flavor with a silky texture that goes well consumed by itself or as an ingredient in preparation of a sauce or any other entry. There is no hint of rawness with this product. In many respects, this prosciutto may be on par with the imported varities.

The Hormel Parma Prosciutto is an excellent choice when purchasing prosciutto. The flavor and texture are superb; it has a well balanced pure ham flavor due to subtle seasonings which enhance it and a texture which is silky. Though this is a crude, non cooked, but cured prosciutto, there is no hint of rawness whatsoever, which is often seen in other domestic brands.
