5lb Box of super-fine assorted jordan candy coated almonds. Superfine jordan almonds are the highest quality grade of wedding almonds.  Instead of the approximate 450 in the regular Fine Jordan Almonds, there are approximately 625 smaller almonds per box. Each almond is smaller, and contains a thinner candy shell.  Our jordan almonds, also known, in Italian as Confetti are slightly roasted almonds with a candy shell. Traditionally, jordan almonds have been an Italian wedding candy because of the dichotomy of bitter almonds and sweet sugar, representing the bittersweet nature of married life.  In Italy, jordan almonds are often packaged in groups of five per guest, as well as accompanied by an Italian poem promoting love and prosperity.  The colors of the almonds represent different occasions,  the white are traditionally the jordan almond of choice for weddings.
