1# Instant dry active yeast. This type of yeast is very similar to active dry yeast. However, it has distinctly smaller granules and has more active yeast cells. Using this for your breads and other cakes ensures your baked goods rise quickly. Instant yeast is also referred as “rapid-rise yeast”. It is popularly known for its relatively short shelf life compared to dry yeast. This variety does not necessarily need to be re-hydrated upon usage and can be conveniently added directly to other dry ingredients. Labeled as one of the osmotolerant yeasts, Saf-Instant yeast is particularly for bread dough with higher sugar content.
